Hi Sweetpea

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening honey!

Almost Christmas time and I’m here with Źan and Taj.  We decorated the tree and went shopping.  Went to a place called Jeremiah’s for an Italian ice.  I got a brain freeze 🥶.  Next time I think I’ll order a gelati because it’s so creamy.  Źan shared a little of his with me. Yum!

I hope the hurricane didn’t flood your house.  People here have to be strong and help one another because so many families lost everything.  If your Daddy was living, he would be out there helping them, that’s for sure.  He was so resourceful!  He loved helping people.

Well, I’m off to run some errands.  Going to the Botanical Gardens tonight.  Music and lights and being surrounded by natures beauty.  Love it.  Auntie Jo and I are going.

I always look for you and hope you would recognize me.  It’s been so long that your mother has kept you from us. You are part of us and always will be.  Always loved and always will be a Foege.

Dreaming of wrapping my arms around you, Grammie

3 miles to Disney for your birthday!

Hi Emma G - I found one of the photos from our Disney trip in Sept. 2011 for your birthday :) We were 3 miles away from the entrance and I turned around from the passenger side of your dad's Chevy Tahoe and snapped this photo. Obviously excited! I bet if I went through your dad's photos, which one day you will have, I'd find a ton of photos from that fun weekend!

Hi Honey

I know your birthday has come and gone and you are 15years old.  Hope it was happy!  So much time, so many stories, so many changes in our lives.  I hope they’ve been good for you.  Grandpa and I have been traveling recently and everywhere we go, our family and friends ask about you.  We are ALL waiting for you to come back to us. To care about, to love in person, to talk to you and ask you what you’ve been doing for these long years since you were cruelly taken from us.  I think we’ll all be surprised when we see each other.  We’ve all changed.  That’s life!  All good.   Love always, Grammie (703)577-5746

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Emma! I hope you had an amazing birthday on the 27th! 15! Will you get your Learner's Permit? It's exciting to drive :) I remember when your dad would quiz you on your birth date -- even at 3 years old you knew it. We also surprised you one year by going to Disney World, just your dad, you, and me. You got a pink Mickey Mouse hat and all sorts of fun gifts. And your dad had a cake sent to the hotel room and we sang happy birthday to you there. It was so fun. When I find photos, I will share them.

I hope you are well after the hurricane. That was a big one!

We are always thinking about you and wishing for your safety and happiness. Your dad loved you with every morsel of his heart and soul and I know he would want to be here with you. Everyone in Naples in the educational non-profit community that saw you grow up, that watched you color in coloring books in your dad's office, that gave you high-fives when you went to events with your dad, and genuinely loved seeing you, is wishing the best for you. You two were always together -- like glue. Know that you were and will always be super loved.

You are beautiful!

Hi Emma honey,  Today is Saturday, September 10, 2022.  It’s been 7 years since we’ve seen you.  I wonder how you are, how you’ve grown, your hair, is it long or short, how much you are shown love and understanding, if you remember us, your family.  You are never far from my thoughts and never out of my heart.  We have a bond of blood.  We share DNA and nobody can cancel that.  Being a teenager is tough enough, I remember how confusing it was,  and pray that you are given respect and acknowledgement for being the amazing young lady you are.  You are grounded in being a Foege, regardless of what last name your mother and the man you have to live with have given you.  I know a name can be considered just letters from the alphabet but when you were born your given name was Emma Grace Foege.  You own that name and only you should be able to decide to change it regardless of what your mother did.  Foege is an honorable name and your father worked hard to make other children’s lives better.  He is remembered in the non profit world as someone who did everything he could for children in need. It is a name to be proud of.  He loved you to pieces and you loved him. He was your world and you were his.  Someday we will have a long talk. We can talk and discuss whatever you want and I will tell you the truth.

As in most child alienation cases such as ours, the people the child has to live with start with bad mouthing the other which confuses the child.  The child eventually begins to believe those lies, falsehoods.  It’s called brain washing.  They change all memories of fun and goodness and turn them into awful lies, talking badly about the other.  Why?  I think they are afraid and in all cases, want to hurt the other.  Why they put the child in the middle to suffer I will never know.  I question if they can love anyone at all.  You will eventually know what has happened in years since you were taken out of our lives.  Everything and all lives are repairable.  We can heal and you can heal from hurts and things that have happened.

We want you to be a happy young girl with choices and ability to make your own decisions.  We will love you as we do Žan and Taj.  They miss you.  We miss you.  Life is good over here and you deserve to be part of it.

I remain your Grammie forever.

Good Morning Emma!

Hi honey,  hope you are enjoying your first few days out of school and getting ready for your well deserved vacation.  What are you planning to do?  Any travel in the future for you?  Remember we are not far and would love to see you.  We are always concerned about you and pray for your safety and welfare.  Just remember that you, Emma, have a voice so use it. If you are surrounded by controlling people and negativity, rise above it and think about when you will beyond their control. You are loved from afar and I ask God to protect you during this time.  Please don’t think that being kept from loving family is normal.  It is control and hateful.

You are a beautiful person and a sweet soul. You have a divine purpose.  Divine is an awesome word and please don’t be intimidated by it.  If you ask God to help you, He will.  He loves you beyond anything you can imagine. I know you can’t see Him but He’s there, with you, ready to help.

I believe that we are tested during our lifetime with circumstances out of our control.  I also believe they form us into stronger and courageous people.  You are needed and so worthy of complete happiness.  You will complete our family once again when you are able to come back to us.  We are no different than when you knew us.  If you are told bad things about us, it is another control effort. They want you to hate us but I know you know better.  You deserve to be happy, have a voice, to be recognized for who you are which is a beautiful young lady.

If you are unable to read our posts now, someday you will and you’ll know the love that waits for you.

We remain loyal to you my sweet Emma Grace and please don’t ever forget the fun times and unconditional love our family has for you.

Grammie

April Showers

Hi Emma!  How are you honey?  Good I hope.  School must be coming to a close now.

What are you doing over the summer?  Wish you could come up here or visit us in Naples.  Remember we’re not far from you.  Sending you some pictures so you can remember us and to reassure you that we haven’t changed one bit from when we last saw you in July of 2015.  Well, maybe I look a little older now.  Ok, maybe a lot older! I’ve aged a bit since your daddy died and you were taken out of our lives.  We worry about you. And yes, your mother too because she needs help to make better decisions for herself and for you.  Decisions made out of love and not fear. We want to help both of you if we can.  Anyway, remember our smiling faces and the love we’re sending to you everyday. Love ya, Grammie

Random Pictures

Just some random photos for you Emma. This is  our first Christmas after you were taken from our family. We had a small tree that year. Taj is concentrating on the Lionel train. Everyone else is doing their thing. This was our first Christmas without you and your Daddy. We went to the beach later and then came home and had dinner.  We made it as normal as possible for the little boys but we missed you and Daddy.  I was told by your mother the September after Daddy died that we would never see you again. Your mom banned us from seeing you or contacting you. She knew that we were very concerned about your safety.  For very good reasons.  Keep yourself safe from people who make you feel uncomfortable or don't treat you with respect. Talk to an adult who you trust or maybe a counselor at school.  You are strong, you are wiser than your years. I have confidence in you. You were lucky to have your Dad for your first 7 years of your life. You were best friends and he instilled the best values and morals in you.

We were all in Sanibel and you guys were all over me in the booth!  We were squished and I loved it.  Always room for my grandchildren.

Love you sweet pea,  Your Grammie, 703.577.5746

The Laughing Heart by Charles Bukowski

Hi Emma G!

A good friend and I met the other day — we hadn’t spoken in a couple months and we needed to catch up! He’s traveling around the world for about 18 months right now. He and I both love world travel and learning about new cultures, tasting new foods, learning about history, making new friends (even when you don’t speak the same language), and going on adventures (white water rafting, scuba diving, hiking, etc.). I went to the Galápagos Islands recently and it was incredible…5 days on a yacht. I’ll share photos of the cute birds and penguins(!!) another time. I think you will go on great adventures and be free to have fun and explore, meet interesting people, and maybe even work abroad. I worked as an English teacher in Asia for nearly 5 years after college (first in Japan then Taiwan). You would love it. I was remembering one of the poems discussed in class with the high school students I taught. Maybe you’ve already learned about this in school but if not, it’s a very popular poem by Charles Bukowski. He was a famous German-American poet from the 1900s. The message is hopefulness and freedom. Plus, I love the title :) Auntie Jo

The Laughing Heart by Charles Bukowski

The Laughing Heart

your life is your life
don't let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is a light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you chances.
know them.
take them.
you can't beat death but
you can beat death in life, sometimes.
and the more often you learn to do it,
the more light there will be.
your life is your life.
know it while you have it.
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight
in you.

Photos of Todd Foege before Emma Grace was born

I just found these yesterday.

After having Emma Grace as his top love in his life, he also loved the water.
These were most likely taken in Bonita Springs, FL.

Sure miss him.
Missing Emma Grace too.

Hi Emma

💗💓 Hi Honey,

How are you? Good I pray. It's a bit rainy and cold today but that's okay.  After all, it is winter here.  I spent the day inside doing stuff and keeping myself busy. Unlike Naples, we have colder weather sometimes.  We get our sweaters out and warmer clothes and enjoy the few days.  Won't be long before the warm temperatures are here and they seem to last longer every year.  I"ll be going back to Naples in the next couple months.  So many cars down there now though.  I guess everyone wants to live in Florida it seems these days because people have more freedom there during these pandemic and fear driven times.  I hope you enjoy these pictures I found on my computer.  I hope you always remember how much we love and miss you and someday, we will reunite as a family.  The family of your father that is loving and caring and honest! I promise.  I look forward to listening to your voice and telling me what your life has been like in the years since Daddy died and we have been separated. He loved you unconditionally beyond belief and everyone knew it because he brought you everywhere.  It was always Todd and Emma!! Must go now and get dinner on the table.  Love you my sweetpea.

Hanging out with Grammie and Grandpa today at the condo...

Žan, Taj and I love going to the Bonita condo to hang out with Grammie, Grandpa and Auntie Jo.

The sunroom is my favorite because there is a bird feeder, gorgeous greenery, beautiful lighting and a few cute pics of Emma Grace like the one above.

Emma Grace is our granddaughter, niece, cousin and daughter and although viciously alienated, & she is still family

Blood family.

DNA family.

Like it or not => family

No level of brainwashing, gaslighting or other abhorrent abuse tactics squashes the truth.

Truth prevails.

Truth is powerful and always prevails.

We, the paternal family, are here in SWFL with open arms & hearts, strong, healthy minds & stable home environments. 💚

Standing in the name of truth & love for an innocent child.

And as Emma's late father used to say, "let's keep it real."

The FOEGE grandchildren

The FOEGE grandchildren

Look at these love bugs!

The top photo "popped up" on Grammie's phone and the other two were just taken Jan 2022.

Living in the same town, yet Emma is alienated.

Family is important.

We all know the truth.

Truth will prevail.

Stay strong.
